I know that supper is recommended no later than 18 hours. But due to the work, I do not have time to eat in time. How much do I suffer from later dinners?

Supposedly unbreakable postulate sounded by many that supper should be no later than 18 hours is incorrect. This rule is applicable if a person’s night sleep begins at about 20:30-21:00. In fact, nutritionists recommend not to eat 2-2.5 hours before sleep. And if a person goes to bed at about 23:00, he may well have dinner closer to 9 o'clock in the evening.

But do not forget about another important recommendation: do not overeat. This is especially important for evening meals. Supper should be quite nutritious, but not heavy for digestion and not hearty. Otherwise, you can face the problems with restless sleep and abdomen heaviness in the morning.

To avoid overeating is possible by introducing snacks into the menu between meals. This will allow to sit down to supper without a pronounced hunger and to eat not by appetite, but by need.
