What are the enzymes that Micrasim® contains?

Micrasim® belongs to the group of enzyme drugs. Its effect is provided by pancreatin of natural origin, which is obtained from tissues of the pancreas of animals. This enzyme is heterogeneous in composition and contains 3 key substances for digesting the basic nutrients:

  • Amylase, which is responsible for splitting complex carbohydrates to simple and affordable polysaccharides.
  • Lipase is an enzyme necessary for digestion of fats.
  • Protease, which is needed for splitting protein molecules.

Micrasim® is available in the form of capsules with a dense gelatinous shell. And pancreatin is contained in them in microgranules with enterosoluble coating. Due to this enzymes reach the duodenum and small intestine in unchanged form, where they begin to affect along with natural pancreatic juice.
